System Administrator

Install new software releases, system upgrades, evaluate and install patches and resolve software related problems.Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware resources.Ensure daily backup operations are performed.Create, change, and delete user accounts per request as necessary.Investigate and troubleshoot issues.Repair and recover from hardware or software failures.Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.Work with database teams to resolve performance issues.Work on high availability (Cluster) implementation.

Design, install and configure internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.
Proactively manage and maintain server, network and firewall systems
Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco and VMware technologies
Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans
Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment
Define and document best practices and support procedures
Provide after-hours support for Infrastructure related emergencies as well occasional weekend maintenance
Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation
Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation and negotiations
Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.

Main Job Duties:

Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues our users encounter.
Manage the configuration and operation of client-based computer operating systems.
Monitor the system daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns.
Create and verify backups of data Respond to and resolve help desk requests.
Upgrade systems and processes as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
Administrate infrastructure, including firewalls, databases, malware protection software and other processes.

Responsibilities & dutiesPerform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, print services, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlesslyPerform VMWare administration tasksMaintain internal infrastructure requirements including, laptop and desktop computers, servers, routers, switches, firewalls, printers, phones, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segmentsInteract with the help desk and other teams to assist in troubleshooting, identify root cause, and provide technical support when neededPerform routine/scheduled audits of the systems, including all backups 

Responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, ensures that the uptime, performance, resources, and security of the computers and fulfills the needs of the users, as well as consults on general security measures.
Performs daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
Supports LANs, WANs, network segments, Internet, and intranet systems.
Ensures network connectivity throughout a company’s LAN/WAN infrastructure is with technical considerations.
Ensures system design to allow all components to work properly together.
Prepares all weekly, monthly and quarterly reports and any other reports upon request.
Performs other duties of a similar nature or level as directed

Set up servers for company use, perform and ensure proper installation of cables, operating systems, and/or appropriate software, and give permissions to appropriate users for application usage and folders’ accessibility. Oversee the performance of servers and computer systems, and perform periodical visits to construction sites to ensure smooth server and computer operation.Install and perform repairs to hardware and/or software, following design or installation specifications.Conduct computer diagnosis to investigate and resolve problems and provide technical assistance and support.Close open tickets, maintain records of daily data communication, problems, remedial actions taken, and/or installation activities, and report to the management through Complaints Analysis report the repetitive issues for immediate actions. Provide remotely technical assistance and troubleshooting to site-based employees.
