    • Solid understanding of agile and Data Warehousing. Experience in projects using Agile delivery is mandatory and preferably in data analytics

    • A degree from an internationally recognized University in Civil or Architectural Engineering.
    • Minimum of 25 years post graduation working experience .
    • Considerable amount of experience as Project Manager.
    • Experience in project management with large scale, multi-site development expertise with a strong track-record of completion and delivery.
    • Fluency in both verbally and written English & Arabic.
    • Native Arabic proficiency is mandatory in reading, writing and speaking.
    • Membership of an international project management association is preferred but not mandatory.
    • PMP certification is strongly preferred.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The incumbent is accountable for the overall execution of the NEOM HELIOS “Marine Facilities” project. This project is defined as the EPC-Delivery of Marine Facilities (Jetty) and Interconnecting Piping, and Sea Water Intake Outfall for the NEOM Helios Green Fuels Project.
     
    This project is part of the largest and most complex capital project for Air Products. It will be the first industrial-scale mega project providing a green energy carrier around the world to contribute to the decarbonization of the industry. The high criticality of the project is derived from the complexity of an export terminal project, and the strategic element as critical infrastructure to the NEOM Helios project. Accountability includes strategic and tactical matters associated with project execution and commences during the project development phase and continues through start-up and commissioning.
     
    The incumbent must possess expert-level project management skills and knowledge, along with excellent communication and influencing skills. The role requires significant interaction within the APs EPCs organization for the project HELIOS to ensure effective coordination across all involved to ensure delivery on project commitments. The incumbent also interfaces extensively with external and internal parties on engineering and technical matters and shall assume the responsibility of the Representative of Air Products for the managed contracts with the Marine EPC contractor. The project is executed utilizing global capabilities, necessitating a robust cross-cultural competency.

    PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • During project development, align strategies for execution, procurement, construction, and start-up with the overall strategy of NEOM Helios. The project scope includes engineering, design, procurement, construction, plant commissioning and start-up, etc.
  • Oversight and direction of all project execution activities, including overall cost, schedule, quality, and plant performance associated with the project assigned.
  • Overall management of all aspects of the project performed by Air Products, including work done within Global Engineering and Manufacturing and Procurement.
  • Perform Hold Point Checks (determine measures to be taken against risks, HSE requirements and savings potential) and Design and HSE Reviews and check and release essential documents for the next project phase (phase achievement).

    Job Description

    Lead the execution of medium-size projects and ensure that all related activities are performed in accordance with ABB Policy, contractual agreement, quality standards, health, safety & environment requirements, financial targets, as well as schedule commitments.
    Your responsibilities
    • 1. Project Leadership: Leads the Project team allocated to the project, defining main guidelines, allocating project task, and motivating and monitoring internal and external resources to accomplish all task and milestones. Provides performance feedback regarding allocated resources working on projects.
    • 2. Planning and Scheduling: Defines, Jointly with the project controls department, all project plan documents, including scope and financial plans, schedule and risk management plans.
    • 3. Ensures that the project follows execution best practices and ABB policies. Effectively monitors and controls project progress and efficient resource utilization. Monitors and controls project financials, overseeing project invoicing status, cost, expenses and cash flow. Identifies, qualifies, quantifies and manages project risk, and ensures that all opportunities are identified and pursued. Captures, analyses and shares lessons learned throughout the project.
    • Ensures that the project is formally closed out, as contractually agreed. Drives the formal acceptance of the project, contract close- out and its acknowledgement by the customer.
    • 4. Contract, Claims and procurement management:
    • Ensures that the project consistently applies contract and claims management, in accordance with ABB policies and contractual agreements. Coordinates with supply Chain management , and successfully procures required services, materials and equipment for the project from external and internal suppliers, support supply chain management in supplier negotiations, claims and project change.
    • 5. Stakeholder relations: Acts as key contact for the customers and an escalation point for project issues. Builds and maintains strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and effectively communicates with all stakeholders.
    • 6. Health, Safety and environment (HSE): Ensures The Project Follows and Complies with company Health, Safety and Environmental policies.

    • – Overall relevant Project managerial experience from 5-8 Years and or above from High Voltage
